New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Rhiannon Giddens, who has been nominated as Artist of the Year at the Americana Honors & Awards and whose new album, there is no Other, with multi-instrumentalist Francesco Turrisi, was released to critical acclaim on Nonesuch earlier this month, has shared a series of three interview videos made by director Laura Sheeran during the five-day recording session at William Lane Recording Studios in Dublin. Giddens, Turrisi, producer Joe Henry, and engineer Ryan Freeland discuss how they all came together to make the album; how Giddens's artistry has evolved since Henry worked with her and the Carolina Chocolate Drops on their Nonesuch debut album, Genuine Negro Jig; and how they created a varied palette of sound with the many instruments heard on there is no Other. You can watch all three videos below.

The pick up a copy of there is no Other, head to your local music shop, iTunes and the Top40-Charts.com Store, where CD orders include a download of the complete album at checkout. The album can also be heard at Spotify, Apple Music, and other digital service providers. A two-LP vinyl edition, which includes four additional tracks, expanded liner notes, and new photos from the recording session, will be released on September 13 and is available to pre-order now with an exclusive, limited-edition autographed print.
