WNYC Studios Introduces Adulting With Michelle Buteau And Jordan Carlos
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) From WNYC Studios comes the new podcast Adulting, where hosts Michelle Buteau and Jordan Carlos navigate the rough waters of adulthood with the help of hilarious special guests like Phoebe Robinson, Wyatt Cenac, Jim Gaffigan and Danielle Brooks. They ask and answer the big questions: What is the amount where a Venmo request becomes petty? Is it okay that I eat cereal three times a day? How much is too much to spend on a pillow? Adulting launches on Tuesday, May 21st and will be available on wnyc.org, iTunes, and all other places where podcasts may be downloaded.

Taped in front of a live audience, Adulting features Buteau - who previously hosted WNYC Studios' Late Night Whenever - Carlos, and guests addressing everything from raising kids, splitting the check at dinner, doing taxes, asking for a promotion, breaking up with a friend, navigating relationships, paying the mortgage, and much more.
"This show is group therapy on Groupon," says Carlos. "When we get rolling and sharing the ups and downs of adult life and how we are all muddling through, I don't feel alone. I feel connected to everyone in the room. But that could also be the Bloody Marys talking."
"I simply cannot wait for this shit to drop!" says Buteau.
"It's been a thrill to work with Michelle Buteau again, who is such a force, and to get to know the incredibly talented Jordan Carlos," said Paula Szuchman, Vice President of On-Demand Content, WNYC Studios. "Listening to them together makes me forget all my troubles, and realize I'm not the only one struggling with grown-up things like keeping plants alive."

Episodes will be released weekly through September 3rd. The first three episodes feature the following:

Episode 1 | May 21st
Naomi Ekperigin, featured in a special on Comedy Central, she's been on Late Night with Seth Meyers, and 2 Dope Queens. She's also written for Broad City, Difficult People, and Great News.

Wyatt Cenac from HBO's Problem Areas and formerly of The Daily Show.
Phoebe Robinson from Sooo Many White Guys and 2 Dope Queens.
Episode 2 | May 28th
Chris DiStefano from MTV's Guy Code and Girl Code and an hour-long special on Comedy Central called Chris Distefano: Size 38 Waist.

Jim Gaffigan from The Jim Gaffigan Show. He has a new comedy special coming out this summer called Noble Ape.

Episode 3 | June 4th
Sasheer Zamata, former Saturday Night Live cast member and comedy special called Pizza Mind.
Kate Walsh from Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice.

Born in New Jersey to Caribbean parents, actress/comedian Michelle Buteau brings her unique perspective and big personality to stage and screen. Michelle has had stand-up specials on Netflix and Comedy Central, as well as an album called Shut Up!, which was released on Comedy Central Records. She was also a featured comedian on the 2 Dope Queens special for HBO. Last year, she shot the Netflix feature Always Be My Maybe with Ali Wong and Randall Park that will be released on May 31st, a recurring role on Tales of the City for Netflix premiering on June 7th, and a leading role in the TV remake of First Wives Club for BET. Jordan starred on the MTV series I JUST WANT MY PANTS BACK. His other TV credits include guest starring roles in Netflix's FRIENDS FROM COLLEGE, Showtime's THE AFFAIR, Comedy Central's BROAD CITY, HBO's GIRLS and Showtime's NURSE JACKIE. He's appeared in many features, most notably SLEEPING WITH OTHER PEOPLE from director Leslye Headland, ABOUT RAY opposite Naomi Watts, and the 3RD STREET BLACKOUT.
