New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Right away, I am really intrigued by this band just by their cool, original name. Phantom Phunk has a real nice ring to it and "Memory's A Ghost" has me shivering with excitement due to a high anticipation level. I have to say that I was hardly disappointed or let down after listening to the track because the originality factor is in full effect.

Phantom Phunk has been a three-piece band since 2018 and the current lineup includes: Alexa Toro on vocals, Nick Emiliozzi on drums & Hector Fontanet on guitar. "Memory's A Ghost" also features hip-hop artist CloudMaster Price who can be heard freestylin' and layin' down tight lyrics on the mic. Together, the group has created such a unique blend of music that includes elements of: hip-hop, pop and alt-rock. I picked up on a Gorillaz influence due to the different take on vocal arrangements and just how the track was produced on the whole. There's a certain something about Phantom Phunk where the listener will be entranced by the overall sound and approach. I feel Phantom Funk and their recent single are an acquired taste, but once you take a bite you will certainly crave more! "Memory's A Ghost" is a scary, good time that comes complete with a spacey background.

Phantom Phunk is currently on tour in the South East and here are the remaining dates/venues:
5/22 - Louisville, KY - Tim Falkner Gallery
5/24 - Richmond, VA - On the Rox
5/25 - Columbia, SC - the Arts Bar
5/26 - Chapel Hill, NC - the Cave
5/28 - Greensboro, NC - the Blind Tiger
5/29 - Greenville, SC - Radio Room
5/30 - Charleston, SC - the Tin Roof
5/31 - Wilmington, NC - the Whiskey.
I can't wait to hear more from this dynamic band because I feel Phantom Phunk has just scratched the surface. If "Memory's A Ghost" is any indication as to what's next for the trio, then the future's lookin' pretty darn Phunky. Hello Instant PHANTOM FANDOM!
