Scott Lavene Drops Gloriously Wonky 'Apples & Pears'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Scott Lavene today has unveiled Apples & Pears, an ode to irresponsibility, a neurotic pop song about being different.
Apples & Pears is the final track to be released from his forthcoming album Broke set to come out on 7th June on CD, LP and digital.
A storyteller delivering real life vignettes over wonk beats and scuzz riffs, Scott creates unconventional backdrops for his tales, building up shapeshifting rhymes and loping grooves.

'Rhythmically I wanted to be able make a whole album where you could just listen to the drums and bass and yet twist with street stories and with an instrumental sixties atmosphere like Gainsbourg or film soundtracks like David Lynch or Wim Wenders - sort of like making soundtracks for films that had not been made. I love Tom Waits dark humour and his melodies to mess with people's minds. Lots of gigs people who have heard my songs say they want to both laugh and cry in the same song which is great'

The album release will be supported by a headline tour week of release. For these dates Scott will be accompanied by his newly formed backing group The Pub Garden who recently made their live debut at this year's Liverpool Sound City.
