With intricate, bubbling melodies, Super Low build an incredibly charming and approachable sound, building a gateway to the hard conversations and reflective questions found in their lyrics. As they have self described, "heartfelt and often downcast expressions don't have to be stuck to music that weighs you down like wet clothing. There are ways to have those tough conversations and deal with harrowing thoughts while letting the sunshine warm your skin and a nice cocktail warm your insides." Vocalist Tiger Adams shared, "The album isn't really supposed to be too happy or too sad - it switches and trades off".

Carefully built layers of beautifully crafted melodies, Super Low showcase their musicianship and song-writing across the release. They recorded at Young Avenue Sound in
Memphis with Calvin Lauber (engineer for Julien Baker's "Turn Out The Lights"). "We recorded thirteen songs total and narrowed it down to the ten that felt like they could only exist on the album," said Adams, hinting at further singles to be dropped in coming months.
Formerly known as China Gate, the band renamed themselves as Super Low earlier this spring to honor their change from a static five-member group to a non-traditional rotating configuration. Now, vocalist Tiger Adams and keyboardist Harry Neblett are the only permanent members of the group; they are joined by drummer John Lewandowski and bassist Conner Booth as well as rotating live members Jawaun Crawford, Annalisabeth Craig, and Walt Phelan for performances, making for a versatile configuration, opening doors for creative input, as well as diverse performance and touring opportunities. Seasoned musicians, the band has opened for Dent May, Hoops and many others, and performed at SXSW in 2017.
Super Low is available now on Bandcamp, Spotify, and Apple Music. The band is currently on a short northeastern run, concluding in Rochester, NY on July 22. They have another northeastern run of dates planned for August, and are currently booking for a southern U.S. tour run this fall.

The Memphis-based indie pop band, led by singer/guitarist Tiger Adams and keyboardist Harry Neblett, was until recently known as China Gate. The group released a full-length and an EP under that moniker and have been picking up a small head of steam in their hometown and beyond thanks to their ebullient live shows—either their own or opening up for the likes of Dent May and Hoops—and a well-regarded 2017 SXSW showcase.
