Master Musician Aditya Kalyanpur In Concert At Rubin Museum In NYC
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Internationally renowned musicians Aditya Kalanpur and Brent Arnold will perform a special concert at The Rubin Museum of Art on Wednesday, July 17 at 7:00 pm. Tabla drums and cello are a surprising combination, but Aditya Kalyanpur and Brent Arnold clicked together effortlessly since their first collaboration in 2017. As a duo they create music with a cinematic sense of mood and drama, the tight interplay of Indian classical music and jazz, and a seamless blending of acoustic resonances with otherwordly electronic manipulations.

Tickets are available online at: www.rubinmuseum.org Tickets are $22.00 in advance, $25.00 at the box office. The Rubin Museum of Art is located at 150 West 17th Street in New York City.

Tabla virtuoso Aditya Kalyanpur - one of the leading Tabla players in the world, tours the world playing with top level Indian classical musicians. He was a child prodigy, has worked with greats like A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire), Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, Shankar Mahadevan, Pandit Jasrajji, Larry Coryell, George Brooks, Kenwood Denard, as well as pop and rock artists from Katy Perry to Keith Richards. He founded the New England School of Music in Boston along with the Shymal Music Foundation in Mumbai.

Brent Arnold has released two albums of solo cello music, created cello music for the show Louie, and is a founding member of Ghost Quartet with Dave Malloy. He has worked with artists including Antlers, Reggie Watts, Eyvind Kang, Filastine, Baby Copperhead and Lullabies for Falling Empires. He studied with violinist Michael White (Pharoah Sanders, John Handy) and cellist Walter Grey (Kronos Quartet).
