New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The LA-based three piece Moonchild announce their latest effort 'Little Ghost' set for a
September 6th release via Entertainment One ("eOne"). A follow up to 2017's well-received 'Voyager,' the album is a sweltering reflection on desire by way of breezy vocals and amplified alternative R&B distortions.
Their lush first single "Too Much to Ask" is out today. A slow R&B earworm replete with electric piano reminiscent of rapper Noname's "Diddy Bop" which inspired the beat, multi-instrumentalists
Amber Navran,
Andris Mattson, and Max Bryk channel boundless sonic energy.

'Little Ghost' is a balancing act between modern funk ("Wise Women", "Onto Me") and the upper echelons of soul ("Too Much to Ask", "
The Other Side"). With the trio in top form, long-time listeners will find something to sink their teeth into while new fans will unearth a treasure trove of an experimental R&B record tailor-made for the modern age.
Moonchild have released three albums of sensual, beat-driven R&B saturated with electronic flourish. The group's last record, 'Voyager,' was included in NPR's shortlist of "5 R&B Albums You Slept On in 2017" and garnered them comparisons to the likes of
Little Dragon and Hiatus Kaiyote. The trio has sold out venues across the world and toured with modern neo-soul heavyweights Kamasi Washington and The Internet. From
Jill Scott and DJ
Jazzy Jeff to Saint Heron, Robert Glasper and PJ Morton, the eclectic triad cement their prestige and place amongst the genre's brightest stars of the moment.
With a unique style of alternative R&B, soul and new-school jazz that has solidified their spot in today's music scene, Moonchild continue to intertwine lyrical concepts with expansive glistening melodies, harmonies and irresistible interludes. Taking its name from the most emotional of celestial bodies (in the eyes of the band), 'Little Ghost' follows 'Voyager' [2017], 'Please Rewind' [2015] and "Be Free' [2012] which were shown love by DJs like Gilles Peterson, Don Letts and Huey
Morgan (BBC 6Music) to
Jamie Cullum (BBC
Radio 2), Jamz
Supernova (BBC 1XTRA) and Anthony Valadez (KCRW) alongside Jazz FM who named the band Soul Act Of The Year 2018. The releases garnered press and online praise from The Fader, Echoes Magazine, Kick Mag, KCRW and Okayplayer, with 'Voyager' racking up 45 million streams on Spotify and the visuals for single "The List" gathering 7+ million views on YouTube.
