New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Taylor Swift today released the third track off her upcoming album LOVER. The slower jam is titled THE ARCHER.
This song follows the previous release of ME featuring Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco and YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN.

‘There’s a lot that’s covered emotionally and I really wanted to give you track five before the album came out,’ T-Swift said on Instagram.
‘I didn’t realize I was doing this, but as I was making albums, I guess I was just kind of putting a very vulnerable, personal, honest, emotional song as track five.’ She went on: ‘So because you noticed this, I kind of started to put the songs that were really honest, emotional, vulnerable and personal as track five, so that has definitely happened in the case of track five on this album.’

The lyrics of the catchy pop track go: ‘I’ve been the archer / I’ve been the prey / Screaming, "Who could ever leave me darling?" / But who could stay?’

Taylor Swift's 7th studio album Lover has already set a new Apple Music record...and it's not even out yet! Lover is officially the most pre-added album by a female artist ever on Apple Music in the first day with 178.6K Pre-Adds worldwide, breaking the previous record set by thank u, next by Ariana Grande.
Lover drops everywhere August 23.
