New York, NY (Top40 Charts) With previous support from RTE
Radio 1 and KCLRFM, Irish singer-songwriter Keith O'Connell returns with melodic pop-rock single 'The Mirror Of My Soul' inspired by a poem he read at a time when his mother was in a coma. The personal theme of the song alongside the clear influences from the likes of Billy Joel,
Oasis and U2 makes this release Keith's strongest to date.
Singer-songwriter Keith O'Connell had a passion for music from a young age. From studying music at Ballyfermot's Rock College to busking on the streets of his hometown of Dublin, Keith has perfected his skills in both keyboard and acoustic guitar, which is shown in his material so far. With a debut album already under his belt, O'Connell has worked with the likes of Richie Cannata who was an original
Billy Joel band member and Steve Power, known for his work with Robbie Williams.
With plays across stations such as RTE
Radio 1, 98FM, FM104, KCLR FM and WLRFM as well as support slots with Bagatelle,
Aslan and Picturehouse, Keith has found a dedicated fanbase in Ireland.
When discussing the inspiration behind the track, Keith stated: "The song was inspired many years ago while studying the poem 'Mirror in February' by
Thomas Kinsella in English class in secondary school. At the time my mother was in a coma in hospital after suffering a brain hemorrhage and the teacher I had at the time said: "the eyes are the mirror of your soul". With both these things in mind, I wrote the song, but due to the personal theme of the song, I held off finishing, recording and releasing the song until now."
'The Mirror Of My Soul' is set for release August 30th.
