New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Studio Electrophonique return with the release of their second single, I Don't Think I Love You Anymore. This forthcoming single is a follow-up to their single Jayne and is set to be released on September 6, 2019.
Bright eyed, tousle-headed and with a look halfway between penitence and innocence, James Leesley (aka Studio Electrophonique) conjures a sound akin to the dream where Bill Ryder-Jones fronts The Velvet Underground with echoes of Cherry Ghost drifing in there for good measure. Cinematic, melodic, warm - efficient in arrangement yet intricate in detail.
Studio Electrophonique's forthcoming debut album "Buxton Palace Hotel" will be released on Violette Records on 20th September 2019.
Studio Electrophonique will play live dates in October 2019:
4th Sheffield - The Lantern Theatre
18th Paris - Life is a Minestrone House Show
19th Paris - Private Show by invitation only
24th London - The Social
25th Liverpool - The Scandinavian Church
Pete Paphides, Journalist and broadcaster, said: "This is beautiful. Very reminiscent of Alex Turner's songs for 'Submarine' (IE: THE BEST THING HE EVER DID!)"
James Leesley, Studio Electrophonique, said ""I Don't Think I Love You Anymore" is one of my own favourite songs. It's the most romantic song I've done. I'm a hopeless romantic so naturally I try to find ways of hiding that emotion within the song, or at least enrobing it in some kind of ambiguity. Hence the title."
Matt Lockett, Violette Records founder, said: "We are delighted to be working with James and releasing his work. It is music of the utmost beauty and simplicity which resonates perfectly with everything that the label stands for."
