NASHVILLE, TN. (Toby Keith Official Website) - Country music superstar Toby Keith sells out arenas across the US and his music inspires our troops half way around the world. But Oklahoma has always been his home base where his family, friends, neighbors and fellow Okies shape and celebrate his accomplishments.

On Friday, April 22nd, Toby performed at Oklahoma City's Ford Center for a "Memorial Thank You," concert put together by the Oklahoma centennial Commission and the Oklahoma City National Memorial during the 10th anniversary of the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The all-star concert featured artists including Vince Gill, Ty England, Katrina Elam, Jimmy Webb and Joe Diffie. According to The Daily Oklahoman, when Toby "S came out to sing 'Beer For My Horses' and 'American Soldier,' the crowd was simply wild."

In a weeks, Toby returns to downtown Oklahoma City to kick-off the 2nd Annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic. On May 6th, Toby will host a pre-event party and concert at the Bricktown Coca-Cola Event Center. During the festivities, attendees will be able to bid on celebrity-donated items in live and silent auctions, and Toby along with special guests will perform. The pre-party and Golf Classic on the following day both benefit Ally's House, whose mission is to assist the families of Oklahoma children with cancer.

Just after the release of his latest studio album, "Honkytonk University," on May 17th, CMT will feature the singer/songwriter in CMT Homecoming: Toby Keith. The hour-long television special premieres Saturday, May 21st on CMT and features exclusive interviews and an acoustic performance as well as visits to Toby's childhood home in Moore, OK.

Singer/songwriter and acclaimed entertainer Toby Keith finished last year as Billboard's 2004 Top Country Artist, Top Male Country Artist, Top Country Album Artist and Top Hot Country Singles & Tracks Artist. His release the previous year, "Shock'N Y'all," was also one of the top selling country offerings of the year. Currently his November release of "Greatest Hits 2" is nearing triple platinum and continues to be one of the genre's top sellers. Keith remains one of country's top touring acts and a highly respected musician and songwriter. Keith, the first country artist to perform an AOL Music Live concert with 850,000 downloads in the first 24 hours, will release a new studio album, "Honkytonk University," on May 17th.

The first single, "Honkytonk U," is an autobiographical song that harkens back to days that Keith spent working in his grandmother's nightclub. His national headlining tour "Toby Keith's Big Throwdown II" begins June 10 in Charlotte, NC. Keith has won eight CMT MUSIC AWARDS including "Video of the Year" in 2003 and 2004 and "Hottest Video" in 2005.
