New York, NY (Top40 Charts) This past weekend, rising Canadian country music star, Jade Eagleson, released the romantically charged new music video for previously released track, "Still Gonna Be You". The new visuals arrive as the third project for Eagleson and director, Ben Knechtel, who also directed "Got Your Name On It" and "Count The Ways". The video premiered this past Saturday on VEVO, following a live Q&A chat with Eagleson in the comment section in the hour leading up to the launch.
"Since the launch of the 'Got Your Name On It' music video, we have almost reached 20 million views," says Eagelson. "This absolutely blows my mind, and there are truly no words to express how grateful I am. We always knew that something about this video was special, heck, it's where I met the love of my life! What we never could have foreseen, was the overwhelming support and success that would follow for the video. 'Got Your Name On It' was shot on the family farm and the storyline means so much to me. I was so thrilled we were able to continue it in the video for 'Still Gonna Be You'."
At just 25 years of age, Jade Eagleson's voice takes listeners back to the days of Johnny Cash,
George Jones and Randy Travis, in that it's unmistakably country.
In August 2017, Eagleson was crowned the winner of the Boots & Hearts Emerging Artist showcase, beating out a lengthy list of other talented artists. Following the victory, Jade signed with Universal
Music and went on to record his debut single, "Got Your Name On It". The song garnered over 23 million streams and peaked at #6 at Canadian Country Radio. Shortly after the song's music video was released, Jade was featured as YouTube Trending's 'Artist On The Rise' and appeared on the website's homepage, which is the first time a Canadian-signed artist in any genre received such an honour. As a result, the music video for "Got Your Name On it" was streamed as much as half-a-million times in a 24-hour period and now has 5x more views than any other Canadian Country
Music Video released in 2018.
Late last year, Jade released his debut self-titled EP which includes two versions of the crowd favourite "Got Your Name On It", the breakup song "Count The Ways", and the timeless love song "Still Gonna Be You". Following its release, Jade first joined Gord Bamford on his 35-city Honkytonks & Dive Bars Tour across Canada before opening for The Reklaws on the Winter's A Beach Tour earlier this year.
