New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Clawing their way out of the grim 'up North', Bandit is a lively 4-piece indie-rock band with up-beat tunes ready to make the crowd move. Drawing inspiration from iconic bands such as Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, The
Strokes and Cage the Elephant, Bandit tells tales of nights out, love, loss, and desperation. The lyrics are relatable and poetic, often capturing the essence of Saturday night and the hangover of Sunday morning.
Front man Nat breaksdown the lyrics to their new single I'd Try Anything Twice
"I'd Try Anything
Twice is about exactly what it says in the title. It's about heartbreak, drugs, and all the bad decisions about being young, reckless and naive. However, it's got a strong underlying romantic tale - it's about looking at the girl you like across a smoke-filled Heebie Jeebies and wanting to throw every bit of your heart into it, coz that's what you've gotta do when you're in love with someone. It's about being either hopelessly romantic or stupidly naïve. It's about the moment not the memories, bad friends and good enemies and life remembering me. It's about being in love"
Formed at the Liverpool
Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), Bandit have creative a strong creative flair that extends from just their music-making, often including spoken word and poem readings in their live performances. Now based in Liverpool, coming from Preston their small-town frustrations have been allowed to explode out of them since their exposure to the bright lights of the city, they are ones to watch as they pioneer the 'hangover rock' genre with their tales of boozy nights out and hungover mornings.
