New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Phoenix, AZ cosmic sludge trio, SORXE have released
The Ark Burner, the bands latest full-length album, via Prosthetic Records today on all physical formats and digital streaming platforms.
Throughtout the six track album, SORXE show their ever-evolving dynamic range and ability to shape-shift from sludge, doom, hardcore, and extreme metal. For over four years, the band crafted the six song album then brought in Matt Bayles (Russian Circles, Botch) to handle the mix and Brad Boatright at Audiosiege to master the final album. The album artwork - created by former bassist
Christopher Coons - helped inspire the title track lyrics, eliciting 2001 Space Odyssey vibes as we follow this Phoenix-based ensemble through the wormhole.
SORXE's Tanner Crace comments:
"This album is the culmination of what we currently consider our finest work yet. We really set out to push our creative forces to the threshold of our collective comfort zone, but we did so in a very organic way; many of these songs were developed from improvisations in typical Sorxe fashion. They weave you through a vast emotional landscape - the attentive listener can expect to be transported from the sewer depths of hardcore and gutter punk sludge, bubbling molten lava lakes of pop synth electronic acid frenzy to the peaks of the Psilocybin laced ice mountains with impending avalanches. In the words of Hunter S Thompson -'buy the ticket - take the ride.'"
