Moonchild Release Intergalactic 60s Throwback Video For "What You're Doing"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) What would happen if you dropped two chic aliens into a sixties household and left them to their own devices? Moonchild attempts to answer that question in their new video for "What You're Doing," the smooth single off their latest record 'Little Ghost' that came out earlier this year via Entertainment One ("eOne").

The Shawheen Keyani-directed clip is set in late 60s California, where a couple leaves the house on a date. Fun-loving chaos ensues when two blue aliens beam into the house and explore the wonders of "foreign" objects like a blender and a Polaroid camera, try on human clothes, and take dance lessons from Moonchild, who appear performing the track in the house's tiny vintage T.V. With the record named for the "little ghost" nebula, it's only natural that an off-kilter West Coast space fantasy is the premise of the L.A.-based trio's latest visual.

Moonchild have released four albums of sensual, beat-driven R&B saturated with electronic flourish. The group's last record 'Voyager' was included in NPR's shortlist of "5 R&B Albums You Slept On in 2017" and garnered them comparisons to the likes of Little Dragon and Hiatus Kaiyote. The trio has sold out venues across the world and toured with modern neo-soul masters. From Jill Scott and Robert Glasper to Tom Misch, Jordan Rakei and PJ Morton, the eclectic triad cement their prestige and place amongst the genre's brightest stars of the moment.

The trio are currently on their headlining U.S. fall tour 2019. After a year of performing at festivals worldwide and on tours with modern jazz heavyweight Kamasi Washington and alt-R&B luminaries The Internet, the 30+ date run confirms that Moonchild is "a true live force" (Billboard). Full tour routing HERE.

Past releases garnered press and online praise from The Fader, NPR Music, Okayplayer, KCRW, Echoes Magazine, Kick Mag, and Soulbounce, with Voyager racking up 45 million streams on Spotify and the visuals for single "The List" gathering 7+ million views on YouTube.

PRAISE FOR MOONCHILD
"spacey, groove-heavy sound...a true live force" - BILLBOARD
"continues to hypnotize" - THE FADER
"Big fan of Moonchild" - KCRW
"fit for R&B purists, as much as modern jazz aficionados and pop enthusiasts" - PASTE
"This heavenly, perfect storm of sound is not only satisfying, but more than worth the wait...yet another stellar piece" - SAINT HERON
"Moonchild has been delighting listeners and earning well-deserved praise from their peers since they stepped on the scene" - SOULBOUNCE
"Midnight soul from Moonchild, who hits that timeless spot with this ultra neo-soul outing" - DJ MAG

Moonchild is a combination of three multi-instrumentalists - Amber Navran [vocals, tenor saxophone, flute, keyboards, synth bass, drum programming], Andris Mattson [trumpet, flugelhorn, keyboards, synth bass, guitar, drum programming], and Max Bryk [alto saxophone, clarinet, keyboards, synth bass, drum programming]. The resulting union yields an ever-evolving fusion of alternative R&B, jazz, and neo-soul. They all participate equally in writing, producing, tracking, and mixing their records, keeping the spirit of collaboration alive as they grow and transform as one.
