New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Armored Dawn, the Brazilian power metal band, has released its brand new album Viking Zombie today via ONErpm (on behalf of Armored Dawn). Viking Zombie was produced and mixed by Rodrigo Oliveira and Heros Trench at Dharma Studios, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
"Viking Zombie is the album that I had the most fun recording so far!" states keyboardist Rafael Agostino. "Our mood during the recording was amazing, and that feeling translates in the songs. The advantage of recording an album without a deadline is that you can really listen to the songs during the process and change things until the release. The results are awesome, and I couldn't be happier!"
"With this album, we had the chance to try new things," adds guitarist Tiago de Moura. "The ideas were coming in, and we were able to polish them gradually. After all, Viking Zombie is the album that looks just like us!"
"The new album, Viking Zombie, tells the story of a Viking warrior who died in a common way instead of dying in a battle. Because he didn't die in battle like the other warriors, he wasn't allowed to go to Valhalla. He asks Odin for one more chance to live so he can die with honor and go to heaven. Odin gives him that chance, but he comes back to life as a zombie.
Stuck in another century than his previous life, he feels like a misfit. He is angry, sad, and is having trouble adapting to a normal pattern. At a certain moment of his zombie life, Viking Zombie meets a young warrior and falls in love with her. Together they will live a beautiful and strong love story that goes from life to death."
