New York, NY (Top40 Charts) "Pitchblack Playback," London's all-in-the-dark, cinema-style listening experiences, will launch this winter in NYC for the first time, in partnership with Hi-Res streaming service . On January 21st, 2020, Bon Iver's self-titled 'Bon Iver,' will be streamed via Qobuz in Midtown's Dolby Screening Room's powerful, immersive sound system, for the first of three inaugural NYC Pitchblack Playback x Qobuz events.
Selling over 10,000 tickets in London, Pitchblack Playback's "no distractions: just you and the music" philosophy has been recommended by GQ (one of "London's Coolest Things" to do), The Guardian ("The future of music listening"), Time Out ("Switch your phone to airplane mode for an hour, bed down and shut out the outside world. Doesn't that sound pretty damn great?"), Newsweek, and more. For complete sensory deprivation and a heightened, visceral listening experience, attendees are blindfolded and latecomers are not allowed.
