The GRAMMY Museum is thrilled to welcome rising singer-songwriter Scarypoolparty for an in-depth conversation moderated by Scott Goldman, followed by a performance. Born and raised in Pomona, CA, Scarypoolparty spent much of his time busking around Los Angeles and performing at backyard parties. Things turned quickly when he received a spot on American Idol. His distinct style of playing and original music caught the attention of the media and fans alike, growing his socials and his audience to new levels.
Following the success of back-to-back singles "Tonight," "Cholo Love" and "DIAMONDS," Scarypoolparty has amassed over 1 million streams, 80 million video views, multiple NMF (3.2M+) placements and rave reviews from Alt Press, Billboard,
Chicago Tribune, and Ones To Watch.
With new music came a sold out Summer tour (in 15 minutes!), a double hitter sold out UK debut, a nearly sold out Fall 2019 headline tour, and two 2020 dates with
Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds of
Dave Matthews Band. This topped off a summer of festival spots including Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and Life is Beautiful.
Scarypoolparty released his debut record, Exit Form, on November 22, 2019 and will be touring the record in the UK in 2020. He also will be playing US festivals, including Hangout Festival, Summer Camp, and Bonnaroo this summer.
