David Byrne Talks "American Utopia" With Christiane Amanpour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) David Byrne was on the CNN and PBS program Amanpour & Co. to talk with host Christiane Amanpour about his show American Utopia on Broadway and its unironic title.

"As fate would have it, I was unable to watch the State of the Union address live," says Amanpour in her televised introduction, "but for a very good reason as I was preparing for my next interview at a Broadway show which, as it happens, is a wonderful antidote to toxic and partisan politics. It is American Utopia by the legendary David Byrne. It's all about hope and connection between people, and it rocks."

As noted recently, Academy Award-winning director Spike Lee is directing a filmed version of David Byrne's American Utopia on Broadway, due later this year. The show is at Broadway's intimate Hudson Theatre until February 16.
