New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Composer, pianist, and singer Gabriel Kahane begins an eleven-city tour of
Europe at the Philharmonie Luxembourg on Saturday. The tour, featuring songs from Kahane's Nonesuch debut album, Book of Travelers, and more, continues with stops throughout France, Germany, Netherlands, and Finland, culminating at Konservatoriets Koncertsal in Copenhagen on February 25.
Book of Travelers is available to purchase on limited-edition, translucent orange vinyl from the Top40-Charts.com Store, where it is also available on standard black vinyl, CD, and digital formats. The album is also available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and Apple Music.
Kahane wrote Book of Travelers after the journey he embarked upon the day after the 2016 Presidential election: a looping, 8,980-mile railway journey through the United States. "[An] articulate, musically far-reaching travelogue," says Uncut. "Exquisitely crafted songs … full of affection for their inhabitants … Musically fascinating and hauntingly empathetic." "Extraordinary," says the San Francisco Chronicle; "vivid and wholly original." Rolling Stone calls it a "stunning portrait of a singular moment in America."
