Miranda Lambert will be supporting Keith Urban's Alive in '05 tour on at least fifteen dates this fall beginning
September 9th in Boise, Idaho.
'I have tremendous admiration for Keith as a performer, musician, artist and especially songwriter,' says Lambert. 'To have the opportunity not only to open for him but to be a witness to what he does so well night after night is such a thrill. This tour will definitely cap off what has been an amazing year for me.'
Miranda Lambert is currently performing shows through out the summer and gearing up for a fun-filled CMA Music Festival with booth signings, appearances and performances including the live concert taping of CMT 100 GREATEST DUETS on June 8th with Blake Shelton, followed by Marty Stuart's 4th Annual Late Nite Jam at the Ryman later that evening, Tower Records on June 10th and CMA Music Festival's main stage at the Coliseum on Saturday evening, June 11th sharing the stage with country greats Alison Krauss, Joe Nichols, JoDee Messina, Trace Adkins, Trisha Yearwood, Kenny Rogers and Wynnona.
The world-premiere of Lambert's new video 'Bring Me Down' is set for May 26th on CMT: Country Music Television. The video, directed by Kristen Barlowe, was shot in beautiful Luling , TX , home of the infamous Watermelon Festival.
Lambert's album, Kerosene, earned a Number One country chart debut, accomplishing what only five other country artists in the history of Soundscan have ever done. She wrote or co-wrote eleven of the twelve tracks including the first single, 'Me and Charlie Talking' and her current single, "Bring Me Down." Recently awarded "Critic's Pick" at the 17th Annual Music Row Awards, Lambert has quickly become a media darling and critic's favorite with features in many national outlets and numerous TV appearances.
