New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The legendary and iconic reggae-rock band from Argentina, Los Pericos, announced their North American tour with confirmed dates in 9 states of the United States, among them their participation as headliners in the itinerant Üateke Rock Fest that will arrive for its third edition in 5 cities of the country.
Formed in 1986 and with more than 30 years of musical trajectory that has taken them throughout all of Hispanic America, the group has recorded 12 albums, 2 EPs and 2 more live, in addition to 3 compilations of their hits. They are currently pre-producing their 13th album.
The Argentine band has stood out for their participation in various international Reggae festivals, including the world-famous International Reggae Sunsplash Festival in Jamaica, on more than one occasion. Well-known reggae artists such as Ali Campbell, Gregory Issacs, Toots Hibbert and The Skatalites, among many others, have also collaborated in their recordings and concerts.
In 2018 they were nominated for a Latin Grammy for their album/DVD recorded live in Mexico City under the title "3000 Vivos", where many guests collaborated to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the band. It was a year full of restless tours, highlighting their performances in Moscow, Russia, and their sold-out performances at the Teatro Metropolitan and Teatro Diana in Mexico, as well as the Opera Orbis in Buenos Aires.
With more than 3 million albums sold and three thousand live performances, Los Pericos are established as one of the most important bands in the history of Latin American reggae / rock.
