New York, NY (Top40 Charts) DJ Shadow's First Tour Since 2017 Begins Today In Amsterdam, Us Dates Kick Off May 5
DJ Shadow has unveiled the lyric video for "Our Pathetic Age," the title track to his recently released and raved about double album. The dark disco romp features Samuel T. Herring from Future Islands on lead vocals, and the video unfolds as a series of out of control pop-up windows on a PC.

The "Our Pathetic Age" video was animated and directed by Adam Dunn, who worked on the Oscar-winning animated film Into The Spider-Verse. Dunn also created the video for "Kings & Queens" featuring Run The Jewels.

DJ Shadow's first tour since 2017 begins tonight in Amsterdam. It will kick off in the US on May 5, and a performance at Primavera Sound in Barcelona follows on June 4.

DJ Shadow's Our Pathetic Age AR lens, featuring audio from the album, is also now live on the Instagram app, in which fans can connect with the music using their phone's camera lens. Created by Lookmister. Visit this link to use the lens and share with friends. The inspiration came from an "infinite loop" created by the team that designed DJ Shadow's new website. The album artwork is featured with the ability to tap and transform into colorful shapes that continuously zoom, offering an interesting outlook into the world that the user is viewing from their camera lens.

Our Pathetic Age was released in November on Mass Appeal, and met with wide acclaim including a recent feature in the New Yorker. The first suite features 11 original, instrumental tracks that include his deepest dive yet into original composition and his first fully orchestrated piece of music. The second is a full album of vocal collaborations including Pusha T, Run The Jewels, Nas, Dave East, Samuel T. Herring, Paul Banks and Wiki, Inspectah Deck, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon, and Brooklyn MC Stro. Shadow also reunited with his early Solesides collaborators Lateef The Truthseeker and Gift of Gab (Blackalicious), and partnered with fellow Bay Area musicians Fantastic Negrito and Jumbo is Dr.ama.
