Wilshire Quinn Capital Seeks Qualified Candidate For $10,000 Music Scholarship
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) California-based investment firm Wilshire Quinn Capital announced today that it is currently seeking candidates for its annual Wilshire Quinn Musical Arts Scholarship, a $10,000 award for aspiring musicians enrolled in a U.S. university or college. One winner will be selected based on application criteria, and the funds will be applied directly toward tuition.

Wilshire Quinn's CEO and Chief Investment Officer, Christopher M. Garcia established the scholarship because of his lifelong interest in music. "Music is the universal language that has the unique power to unite us all. I feel compelled as both a music devotee and the leader of a company to merge these two worlds, and make a meaningful contribution to a worthy candidate." Garcia says, "It is with great enthusiasm that I give back to this community that has provided me through the years with inimitable inspiration and emotional clarity."

Interested students must submit a short personal statement, along with a recorded three-minute musical performance. The award is open to students of all musical genres. The scholarship committee will assess candidates based on talent, passion, work ethic and financial hardship. Last year's recipient was Ms. Cameren Williams of The Juilliard School.

Garcia founded Wilshire Quinn Capital in 2004, and has overseen the growth of the Wilshire Quinn Income Fund, a privately held investment fund that has evolved into one of California's private money lending institutions. The Wilshire Quinn Musical Arts Scholarship is the most recent manifestation of the firm's lasting dedication to community service.
