
ATLANTA, GA. (Favored Group/ www.elviswhite.com) - Atlanta based 1720 Records debut recording group ELVIS WHITE will join in on several of the upcoming Carnival Celebrations this Memorial Day weekend in Atlanta. Scheduled performances/appearances by ELVIS WHITE include: Atlanta Braves pre-game performances on Saturday and Sunday, a performance at the Caribbean Family Reunion Soccer Tournament at Wade Walker Park, and opening the 17th Annual Atlanta Caribbean Folk Festival Highlight Show at Turner Field on Memorial day!
Made up of seven exceptionally talented individuals, ELVIS WHITE is the most exciting SOCA act to come out of the Caribbean since Kevin Lyttle. The band includes keyboardist and musical director Greg Hogan, lead guitarist Larry Riviere, bass guitarist Dean Alexander, drummer Marcus Mark, background and lead vocalists Toro George and Shekera Wheatley, and lead singer, the band's namesake, Elvis White.
Produced by Atlanta production duo, Donald Parks (Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Toni Braxton, Bobby Brown) and John Howcott (Keith Sweat, The Braxtons, Chante Moore, Silk, and Vanessa Williams), and recorded at Atlanta's Tree Studios, ELVIS WHITE'S debut CD, PROMISE, is a 40 minute POP/SOCA music marathon that will have Carnival goers dancing in the streets!
ELVIS WHITE is also scheduled to open for R&B's legendary Keith Sweat this summer on Keith's "Summer Sweat Tour" presented by JDP Productions. The scheduled 20 city tour will commence in early July and wrap in mid-September.
