New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The 23rd edition of m4music, the pop music festival of the Migros Culture Percentage from 19-21 March 2020 in Zurich will not take place this year due to the corona virus. Already purchased tickets and festival passes are refundable. m4music defies the virus: during the planned festival weekend, the streaming festival "m4music 2.0" will make a mix of music, panel discussions as well as the Demotape Clinic available to the public and the
Swiss music scene free of charge via digital channels. By doing so, m4music is setting a signal for the
Swiss music scene.
The bad news first: After a thorough assessment of the situation, the Migros Culture Percentage is following the instructions of the authorities and has decided today, Friday, 6 March, that the festival in Zurich with more than 6,000 expected visitors will unfortunately not take place in two weeks. Due to the current situation and development, it is not possible to hold the festival in its original form.
Streaming festival "m4music 2.0"
m4music should, nevertheless, take place. Despite the cancellation of the festival, the spirit of discovery of the m4music team remains unbroken: m4music will bring festival atmosphere to the screens in a live stream - with content for the audience and the
Swiss music scene.
Philipp Schnyder, Festival
Director of m4music, explains: "Our festival has not only been committed to the audience in more than 20 editions - we have also established ourselves as an integral part of the
Swiss pop music agenda. Therefore, it is clear to us that m4music should not be cancelled without replacement. The whole team is currently working at full speed on our digital festival. We look forward to announcing the details in the next few days."
Ticket return
