Hydrophonix was formed at the turn of the millenium by Jay Roth and Neil Roemer. The two vocalists had a strong drive and a clear vision to attack universal consciousness through music. It didn't take long before the two met guitarist / vocalist Mike Kmiecik and drummer Matthew Moore. The four worked on songs together before adding Leo Nobre on bass, Walter Davis on saxophone and Justin Andres on guitar. The band's sound started to develop into something unique. Audiences around L.A., Santa Barbara, and Sacramento have been buzzing about the live show as anticipation for the upcoming album continues to grow. After seeing a show at the Whiskey a Go Go in Hollywood, Grammy award winning producer / engineer Jeff Poe approached the band about making an album. Hydrophonix and Jeff Poe went into Greenstone studios and have come out with a CD that has rocked the music industry. The talented team's hard work will be honored later this year with the presentation of the 'Breakthrough Album of the Year' award presented by the LA Music Awards. The track 'High" is featured in the film "FrostBite" being distributed by FOX and several tracks are receiving spins on radio in regions on both the East and West coast.
