 TORONTO, Canada (Cedar Trail Music/ www.alyshabrooke.com) - Cedar Trail Music is pleased to announce the signing of Canadian country music artist Alysha Brooke to the Cedar Trail label. Ms. Brooke is a dynamic and energetic young country artist who released a self-produced CD entitled Nuthin' but a Chevy in November 2004.
'We are thrilled to have Alysha Brooke as part of the Cedar Trail line-up,' said Mike Belobradic, President of Cedar Trail Music. 'Alysha is a talented country music artist with a powerful voice and a rocking live performance. She represents everything that we look for in an artist.' Cedar Trail had been following Alysha's progress for quite awhile before finally meeting up with her in December 2004. 'We began working with her on songwriting and publicity and realized pretty quickly that Alysha had something very special going on,' said Mike. In addition to working on Alysha's publicity and promotions, Cedar Trail picked up distribution rights to Nuthin' but a Chevy in February 2005 and the response to that CD has been very strong.
'Feedback from DJs and playlists in the U.S. and around the world was immediate and has been very positive,' said Mike. 'It didn't take us long to realize that Alysha Brooke is destined for big things in this business and we want to help her achieve her goals.' Alysha has been busy working on new material and preparing for a busy schedule of summer tour dates across Southern Ontario.
Cedar Trail's immediate goals for Alysha are to get a solid band in place and then spend the summer working on tightening up the new material and touring as much as possible. By the fall, she will have honed her songlist to 11 or 12 solid tracks that will comprise her debut release on Cedar Trail. Current plans are to enter the studio later this year with plans for a CD release date in early 2006. 'Alysha's new material is absolutely killer,' said Mike. 'Her vocals and performance have really found a great groove. She has a mischevious sort of attitude and a coy approach to her music that is so engaging and uniquely her own. People are going to love this.'
