New York, NY (Top40 Charts) RDGLDGRN (Red Gold Green) have always fought for community, and in this difficult time they are once again working to remind us that we are not alone. They are partnering with Facebook Music and Capital Area Food Bank's COVID Response Efforts to provide two free concerts on Friday 3/20 via livestream with a Q&A to follow.
The announcement comes with deep appreciation and concern from the band for their fans that bought tickets to the six week Danger tour that cancelled last week. The massive outpouring of support encouraged the band to set up a studio and multi camera live performance that fans named " KORONAVAL" after RDGLDGRN's 2019 song Karnival.
"This crisis exposes the most vulnerable communities and members of society to disruptions in social services most people take for granted. We want to take action through this performance to raise awareness of all the kids and families in the DC area who are struggling just to have meals that the public school system provides normally."- King Green
KORONVAL Set Times:
Lunch Set: 12:30 - 1:30 EST
Happy Hour Set: 5:00 - 6:00 EST
A week ago the band released genre-bending single Danger (ft. Nitty Scott and Alexandra Stan), the video for which is nearing 80,000 views and is the first work to be released from their upcoming LP Something About Danger. Friday they will be featured as Facebook's Artist of The Day, and use the platform to help those who may be struggling more than most. During the livestream the band will take donations, a portion of which will go to Capital Area Food Bank and their efforts to continue serving those who are food insecure throughout the pandemic. The band hopes that their performance and forum will give their fans a chance to come together in a time of isolation.
