New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Bringing back that nostalgic synth-pop sound, HAZY makes his return with 'Arcade' April 17th, paying homage to typical British seaside holidays, drawing influence from the likes of Bon Iver, Jamie T and Mura Masa.
The 22-year-old Indie-Pop songwriter has been perfecting his craft since bursting onto the scene in 2017. His bedroom production style leans on hooky vocals, dense textures and is characterized by his meticulous care in production. His unique style and sound has caught the eye of BBC Radio Stoke, saying "Genuinely obsessed".
Now returning with his latest indie-pop anthem 'Arcade', The nostalgic track pays homage to typical British seaside holidays, making it relatable to everyone who understands the sentimental value of the coast.
Speaking more on the track, HAZY explained: "I spent my early childhood in Southend on Sea, and in the holidays we would go up to North Yorkshire to another seaside town called Whitby. My mum was ill and having treatment and so my grandparents would look after me, my brother and sister. They'd take us down to the arcades and the beach. Although it was a tough time it was also the best of times, there's nothing better than the love of grandparents and the British seaside. This is for everyone that's ever dropped a penny in an arcade."
HAZY is currently working towards a debut album in 2021, with 2020 seeing the release of a handful of contributing singles including 'Arcade' which will be available on all streaming platforms April 17th.
