New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Ahead of the release of her new album I'm Your Empress Of this Friday, Empress Of, born Lorely Rodriguez, is sharing a new song. "Love is a Drug" is an infectious, three-minute club cut documenting the need for life's irresistible vices. The song received its first play on Matt Wilkinson's Beats 1 radio show on Apple Music and follows previous single "Give Me Another Chance," which was accompanied by a stunning Alexis Gómez-directed video.
I'm Your Empress Of is out via Terrible Records and is a testament to not only Rodriguez' craftsmanship as an artist but as a producer. Rodriguez wrote and produced the entire album except "U Give It Up" and "Hold Me Like Water," for which she enlisted the help of Jim E-Stack and Mikey Freedom Hart, respectively, and executive production co-helmed by BJ Burton. The album is her third full-length, following Us and her 2015 debut Me.
"Supple, quietly devastating electro-pop that's packed full of character." - The Guardian
"Lorely Rodriguez has created a bright and easy universe to exist in, leaving each of us coming out the other side feeling refreshed." - Noisey
"one of the most beguiling pop alternative singer-songwriters working right now" - Vogue
