New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds posted on social media Friday night that he and his family are recovering after testing positive for COVID-19.
The legendary singer-songwriter revealed the "scary" diagnosis to fans on Instagram on his 62nd birthday on Friday (April 10). Not only did he test positive for the deadly COVID-19, but so did his family. "I feel so blessed to be able to celebrate another birthday," wrote Babyface. "I tested positive for the Covid-19 virus, as did my family. It's an incredibly scary thing to go through my friends."
But they are now negative and well on their way to making a full recovery. "I'm happy to report we have now tested negative and are on our way back to full health," he added.
He received support and well wishes from friends including Timbaland, L.A. Reid, and Jermaine Dupri.
Other music stars have also tested positive for coronavirus including Slim Thug, Scarface, and Fred the Godson.
