Thoughts and prayers to those who were affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic.
"All you have is today -- there is no such thing as yesterday or tomorrow" is the latest fortune from the release "Sayin' Sumthin'," by the New York-based producer Roland Carter. The latest single is set to release on April 24 on all major streaming services with an exclusive DJ release on 4/20 on Traxsource. Expect a slow volume fade up of congas peeking through a curtain of rounded full chords and sound effects, to drop with a subtle 909 Kick Drum. The garage shuffle drum pattern sits behind airy high pitch blips floating from a TB03 while a muted voice slips into a minimal garage house groove.

This current pandemic has taken mass gatherings, late night ragers, and all night drinking to one's home, apartment or even small room here in New York City. Dance parties are now virtual, while DJs, Bartenders, Dancers and most of the entertainment industry are at a standstill wondering when the next social gathering will take place. Headphone's are more personal than ever as they give one privacy and solitude. Roland Carter dubs this track as "Headphone House," where one takes in (to the home) all the sounds from the outside world from the expanding synths to the gripping baseline into their personal domain to embody the moment through physical and mental reflection.
