New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today, New Zealand's Mild Orange share their new video for "Making Things," the latest single from their forthcoming self-titled album out May 29. Directed by Garrett Gioia, the video finds the band's animated counterparts embarking on a desert road trip that goes along just like any other: cruising on the highway in a convertible hover car, rocking out to good tunes, and confronting the sun before it explodes in a fit of nerves and psychedelic reverie.

It's a uncannily fitting visual accompaniment to a song about the uncertainty, excitement and exhilaration of letting oneself fall in love again.

Mild Orange are Josh Mehrtens (vocals/guitar, production), Josh Reid (lead guitar), Tom Kelk (bass guitar) and Jack Ferguson (drums, photography), four friends who came together at the University Of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. Their 2018 debut albumForeplay was an independently released word-of-mouth hit that earned them millions of Spotify streams and led to the band's first-ever European tour, including sold out dates in London.

On Mild Orange, the band's sound fills in the gaps between romance-addled dream-pop and slack indie rock, held together by playfully tangled riffs and frontman Josh Mehrtens' earnest-yet-slightly askew perspectives on love and infatuation. Recalling acts as disparate as Mazzy Star, Jeff Buckley, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, early Coldplay, and Cuco, Mild Orange is the confident work of a band that's building an international cult following on the back of songs that unfold like secrets shared between friends and lovers.

Watch the video for lead single "Freak In Me," which just surpassed 750,000 views:https://youtu.be/RrIV6tnuQG0
