NEW YORK (Roc-A-Fella Records) - Summer Jam 2005 officially belonged to the R-O-C! With crazy live performances from Kanye, the Young Gunz and others, and a shocking post-retirement appearance from Hov himself, the crowd at Giants Stadium was on its feet, screaming loud with diamonds high in the air.

After the Young Gunz, Memphis Bleek and Teairra Mari all rocked the second stage, Kanye came through and tore down the main stage with a blazing live set. The college dropout turned hip-hop genius blessed the crowd with some dope renditions of his new banger "Diamonds" along with the the already classic cuts "Get 'Em High" and "Jesus Walks." But the true highlight of the night belonged to the one and only Shawn Carter.

In front of a stunned audience, the Def Jam president and recently retired hip-hop legend took over the stage and, for a full five minutes, stood silent while the audience erupted in cheers.
With only two joints, "PSA" and "Encore" from his final album, Jay-Z gave Giants Stadium one of the most memorable hip-hop moments of the year and, with the help of the seemingly unstoppable Roc-A-Fella camp, turned Summer Jam 2005 concert into one for the history books!
