New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Platinum-selling duo
Maddie & Tae premieres the sentimental new video for "Trying On Rings" exclusively with Entertainment Tonight. From the award-winning singer-songwriters' critically acclaimed new album The Way It Feels, out now via Mercury Nashville/Universal Music, "Trying On Rings" exemplifies the hopefulness and promise of love with a video to match featuring home footage from both women's recent weddings - Maddie marrying her high school sweetheart
Jonah Font, and Tae marrying her dream man Josh Kerr.
In an exclusive interview with ET, Maddie shares, "I hope people can see and feel how much love was put into the song and shown in the video," while Tae hopes people also "hear their own love story in this song and realize it's all the little moments that mean the most."
Maddie Marlow and Taylor Dye co-wrote 14 of the album's 15 tracks including "Trying On Rings" and their current Top 20 country radio hit, "Die From A Broken Heart," which Esquire calls "their finest moment yet." Praised for its vulnerability and "stories tackling grueling heartbreak, glowing marriage and the late nights where friends matter most" (The Tennessean), The Way It Feels debuted at No. 1 on the Current Country Albums sales chart and Top Ten on Billboard's Country Albums chart. Associated Press says, "The Way It Feels shows off plenty of sides to this refreshing, exciting pair. It often resembles a greatest hits package — and in some ways it is."
Maddie & Tae, recognized for music "anchored around their stellar vocal pairings and some of the tightest harmonies on
Music Row" (Rolling Stone) with a "sound that's identifiable while still representing a distinct step forward" (Billboard), have also earned widespread praise from American Songwriter, Entertainment Weekly, Glamour, NPR, People, The Washington Post and others. The seasoned duo has toured with country music's hottest stars including Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, and Brad Paisley, and are set to join Lady Antebellum's upcoming 2020 OCEAN TOUR.
