New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Multiple Grammy nominee the incredible Ruthie Foster recorded her new (May 15th) CD titled "Ruthie Foster Big Band Live At The Paramount" in Austin
Texas with recording technology arrangements managed by music industry veteran Denby Auble, President, Blue Corn Music. On this special evening Ruthie was surrounded by an on stage entourage second to none including her music director for the evening Mr. John Mills, the
Director of Jazz at the University of
Texas at Austin. Off stage, behind the scenes, the special event was managed by literally a who's who in technical talent including noted video producer Curtis Pollock (Yellow House Studios) and TEC Award nominee and five time Grammy winning engineer live audio recording specialist Malcolm Harper (Reelsound Recording). Curtis shot the event with seven cameras while Malcolm recorded the live event from his famed mobile technology suite outside. On this night Ruthie Foster and her band would lay down fresh arrangements of such songs as "Ring of Fire" "
Mack The Knife" and "Phenomenal Woman". After show support included the mixing being handled by Will Robertson of Gallop Studios and the mastering by Nick Landis of Nick Landis Mastering. Ruthie Foster's new album "Ruthie Foster Big Band Live At The Paramount" drops May 15th. Capturing the audio of major live stream events is tricky to say the least.
It requires split second decision making, expertise, and the latest in recording technologies. Millions of bytes of information streaming by at super speed being captured and split into literally one hundred or more tracks on the fly. Mr. Auble of Blue Corn
Music comments, "Ruthie's desire to record the big band experience was rendered exceptionally smooth with Malcolm of Reelsound on site and working with us." Also on the Reelsound team this evening were crew engineers Greg Klinginsmith,
Mason Harlow, and
Monica Skinner. At the recent star studded
Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, a huge event attracting millions of attendees, Malcolm Harper's Reelsound Recordings Company captured the audio on the new Solid
State Logic System -T500 technologies. VP's from SSL
George Horton and Phil Wagner were in attendance while the live streams were being captured for such major names as Willie Nelson, Chance The Rapper, Becky G, Maren Morris,
Ramon Ayala, Chris Young, Midland, and NCT 127. Likewise, Ruthie Foster's Big Band at the Paramount was captured live by both upper level audio and video expertise. Music Festival 2018".
