NASHVILLE, TN. (Mercury Records) - Prior to Sugarland's performance at CMA Music Festival on June 9th, Jennifer Nettles, Kristen Hall and Kristian Bush were presented with Gold digital download plaques by the Recording Industry Association of America to commemorate certified sales of more than 100,000 downloads of their Mercury Records debut single 'Baby Girl.'

In September 2004, Sugarland was named to AOL Music's Breakers program, a first for an act in the country genre. The band's hit song, "Baby Girl" made its exclusive debut on the program and garnered significant attention from the AOL Music audience before taking off at radio. The song quickly shot up to the No 1 spot on the AOL Radio Network chart. www.aolmusic.com is currently featuring an All Sugarland video channel, including their exclusive AOL Music Sessions performances of the songs "Baby Girl," "Just Might Make Me Believe," "Fly Away," "Speed of Life" and "Something More," as well as a full CD Listening Party of Twice the Speed of Life.

Each season, AOL Music handpicks the most promising new artists to spotlight as Breakers. These artists are featured in high profile campaigns across www.aolmusic.com and the AOL Music network. Elements of these innovative campaigns include song and video debuts, AOL Music Sessions appearances and rotation on the AOL Radio Network. In addition to Sugarland, past AOL Music Breakers include Avril Lavigne, Josh Groban, 50 Cent and Michelle Branch.

This is the second Gold presentation for Sugarland this month. After they received a standing ovation for their closing performance at the 40th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, they were surprised with Gold plaques to commemorate RIAA certified sales of more than 500,000 copies of their debut album, Twice The Speed of Life.

'Something More,' Sugarland's second single, entered the Top 5 in only 10 weeks and currently holds the No 5 position on Billboard's Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.
