SYDNEY, Australia (SONY BMG Australia) - Foo Fighters' blistering double set 'In Your Honor' has rocked the ARIA Top 50 album chart, debuting at No 1 today - their first No 1 debut for the album in the world! Foo's have also scored the highest first week album sales in Oz this year - go guys!
Foo Fighters' killer chart position today was no mean feat, given that Coldplay ruled the No 1 spot across the globe last week. But following on from an awesome visit to our shores recently and with first single 'Best Of You' debuting at No 5 on the ARIA singles chart, it's no surprise that Australia today became the first territory in the world to see Foo's knock Coldplay's new record from the top spot.

Not content with giving fans just one dose of their finest, Foo's have delivered two discs with 'In Your Honor' - the first a rocking collection of tracks and the second an acoustic affair. The album also features some amazing guest performers including the very talented Norah Jones and one of Dave Grohl's musical mentors, John Paul Jones from the legendary hard rock band Led Zeppelin.
Jones played on three tracks with mandolin, mellotron and piano, respectively. Grohl describes this as one of the musical highlights of his life!
"It will surprise you. It surprises me... it is by far the most ambitious project I have ever had anything to do with in my entire life," says Grohl of the album.
