New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Nashville singer-songwriter Tim Easton will release "When I See You Again" on 7/10/20, a song about the painful forced separations in the pandemic. 100% of the proceeds will go to Musicares, an organization close to Easton's heart.
He explains, "It seems the the world has gone insane and everything is upside down. This moment in our lives is unlike anything that I've ever experienced and sometimes it feels like isolation and darkness go hand in hand and it feels like there is no end in sight. Sometimes when things get so stressful it's important for me to focus on what's going on right in front of me. A few months ago when the whole craziness started, a dear friend's daughter had to stay at my family's home in Nashville for a few weeks due to her mother being very sick from Covid-19, with no immediate family close enough to help. Just thinking about how hard the separation must have been for her, this song was born. "When I See You Again" was written and produced with help from my pal Jeremy Lister, for her. Knowing that she needed, that we all needed some hope."

He continues, "I made the video because this is so personal to me, with a montage of photographs sent in by my friends and fans holding photographs of the people they love and wish they could see but can't because the quarantine. It begins and ends with

I am no stranger to darkness and this thing got me thinking that since Jeremy Lister and I have both personally been on the receiving end of support from organizations that border on the divine, we decided to give back as much as we can to those that have cared for the well being of so many musicians who have encountered hard times over the years. Musicares has been flooded with support requests over the past few months, and one way we can give back is by raising awareness for an organization that has helped so many of us. We will donate 75% to Musicares and 25% to Seattle-based SMASH, a musician's aid organization.
Easton was born on the Canadian border in upstate New York and spent his formative years living in Tokyo, Japan and Akron, Ohio. Traveling early and often, he learned the ways of the road and rails and spent 7 years as a bonafide troubadour, making his way around Europe, playing the streets and clubs, living in Paris, London, Madrid, Prague, Dublin, and wherever he laid his hat. It was this period of time when he developed his songwriting style - folk based storytelling and personal traveling tales, often peppered with bold confessions or "tell it as it is" reality. Rolling Stone praised him as "having a novelist's sense of humanity."
