NEW YORK (RCA Records) - VELVET REVOLVER has recorded a new song, "Come On Come In," for the forthcoming Fantastic Four film and soundtrack album. Reaching radio June 21, the track was recorded in Raleigh and Cleveland in May during the band's U.S. headlining "Electric Wonderland Show" arena tour. VELVET REVOLVER co-produced the song along with Doug Grean and Nick Raskulinecz. The band felt that the new song they wrote lent itself perfectly to the film.

Fantastic Four - The Album will be issued July 5 on Wind-up Records, in conjunction with Twentieth Century Fox and Marvel Enterprises, who are releasing the action-packed movie July 8.
For the "Come On Come In" video, VELVET REVOLVER - lead singer SCOTT WEILAND, guitarist SLASH, bassist DUFF McKAGAN, drummer MATT SORUM and guitarist DAVE KUSHNER - joined forces with director Wayne Isham in Los Angeles before the band launched their in-progress European tour. Inspired by the adrenaline-driven visuals and conceptual theme of the Fantastic Four movie, the video combines the raw energy of a VELVET REVOLVER performance, with graphic transitions between movie footage and Dali-esque individualized abstract portraits of each band member.

Since releasing their debut album CONTRABAND on RCA in June 2004 - a record that Rolling Stone hailed as "modern-rock nirvana ... vicious, unapologetic ... " - VELVET REVOLVER have become rock's most exciting and successful new band. CONTRABAND has now sold over three million copies worldwide, earned a Grammy Award, shattered records and garnered massive critical acclaim.

CONTRABAND debuted at No 1 on the Billboard album chart, selling overc 250,000 copies. Notably, this marks the best-ever debut for a new rock artist in the SoundScan era. Newsweek describes the band as "truly explosive" and Maxim says, (Velvet Revolver) "bring unpredictability back to rock."

CONTRABAND features the Grammy Award-winning and No 1 rock single "Slither," as well as the band's other No 1 rock hit "Fall To Pieces," plus their blazing third single "Dirty Little Thing."
The band has earned three Grammy nominations: Best Rock Album (CONTRABAND), Best Rock Song ("Fall To Pieces") and the aforementioned Best Hard Rock Performance ("Slither"), which they won.
The band has also created dynamic and provocative videos for their three hits.

VELVET REVOLVER's success continues to build. The band was named Best New Artist and Best Hard Rock/Metal Band in the Rolling Stone Readers' Poll (January 27, 2005). They've also graced the covers of Mojo, Revolver, Kerrang! and Metal Edge, which hailed them as "rock 'n' roll's messiahs of the new millennium." The U.K.'s Classic Rock hailed CONTRABAND as the No 1 Album in "The 50 Best Albums, As Chosen By Classic Rock Critics."

As a live act, VELVET REVOLVER are hailed for their incendiary performances which have brought back a sense of danger and unbridled excitement to rock 'n roll. They've toured extensively in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, earning one accolade after another.
