CLEVELAND, OH. (Vyne Music/ www.nyerock.com) - Nye, a Cleveland, Ohio based modern rock band, is set to kick off its 2005-06 Midwest tour in early July.

Nye's debut CD, "Under My Skin", has been released through Attack Records and is available at major retailers and online in the United States and Canada.
The band will make stops across Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, Indiana and Illinois throughout July, August, September and October.

A full tour schedule will be released in July, but major stops include Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Dayton, Columbus, Toledo, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Chicago, Detroit, Lansing, Erie, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, Syracuse, Athens, and New York City, as well as select shows TBA in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Texas.
Following its Midwest United States tour, the band will travel to Canada and Europe in the late fall.

A critic once described the band Nye as possessing 'boy-band looks and charm mixed with the attitude and sound of a rabid rottweiler.'

Whether that was compliment or criticism doesn't matter much to the guys from Nye. They don't play for the critics. They play for their fans and for themselves. And can they help it that they happen to look good while doing it?

Hailing from the working-class community of Cleveland, Ohio, Nye may very well be the epitome of hard rock music for the 21st century.

Defined by raging, overdriven guitars, punishing drums and a vicious low-end combined with singer/guitarist Dave England's deeply powerful yet meaningful lyrics, Nye has taken the Northeast Ohio rock scene by storm.

The band immediately established itself as a creative force with which to be reckoned following the international release of its stunning debut CD 'Under My Skin'.
And its live show is no less impressive.

What could be described as controlled chaos reigns from when Nye takes the stage right up until the moment the lights come up at the end of the show. Dave is always relentless in belting out vocals and in his interaction with the crowd while he and guitarist Ryan Cornell plow through the chunky riffs that already have become Nye's signature sound.

Anchoring the rhythm section are bassist Matty Austin and drummer Kevin Jackson – and they do anything that fade into the background. Kevin is in fact the heart and soul of Nye's musical backbone while Matty's bass lines are nothing short of magical, adding a flavor and depth not often seen in rock music.

The band currently is gearing up for shows in support of 'Under My Skin' in Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Buffalo, New York and is working on various projects for commercial sponsorship, television and film efforts in the United States and Europe. Things are indeed looking promising for Nye.
But just as in life, there are no guarantees in the music business either.
So what happens if Nye never goes platinum, dominates MTV and the radio airwaves and conquers the world of rock and roll?
Well, there's always the boy band thing to fall back on.
For the sake of music fans everywhere, let's all hope that it doesn't come to that.
