MANZANARES is scheduled to perform the following morning at PANCAKES ON THE PLAZA on the 4th of July for the UNITED WAY at 11AM. They will also be performing at the SANTA FE SUMMER BANDSTAND on the Plaza at 6:00PM on July 6th. And an additional performance is scheduled during SPANISH MARKET on Sunday, July 31st on the Plaza at 12:00 noon. This summer the band is focusing their efforts on new material for their upcoming third CD.
2005 has already proved to be an exciting year for MANZANARES whose performances have included the recent wrap party for the Steven Spielberg/Dreamworks/TNT mini-series 'Into the West' as well as for the
National Association of Travel Writers in
Santa Fe. They also performed acoustically for a documentary by legendary musical producer/manager, Miles Copeland. Their past performances include headlining for Oscar de La Hoya's private party at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas; The Temple Bar, Knitting Factory & Latin Lounge in Los Angeles; the Democratic Convention in Kansas with Governor Bill Richardson; XM
Radio Featured Global artist; joined on-stage by the MAVERICKS' Raul Malo & Eddie Perez. Local events include Spanish Market, NM
State Fair, Pancakes on the Plaza, the Burning of Zozobra, Taos Solar Festival as well as a myriad of private events.
David and Michael were featured, along with actress Shirley MacLaine, for the European Travel Program VOX Tours. MANZANARES was filmed by ABC News for a segment filmed in Taos and was photographed by world renowned photographer Eli Reed for the book 'America 24/7: New Mexico'

David and Michael Manzanares and features the virtuosic rhythms of their Latin/World-Beat band. Born with a passion for music, they grew up the youngest two of six children on a century-old Spanish ranch in Abiquiu, New Mexico.
