The Art Of Elysium Presents #artheals 23 Years Of Service: Benefit Auction 2020 In Partnership With Artsy
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Jennifer Howell, who founded The Art Of Elysium in 1997 says, "August 2020 marks 23 years of The Art of Elysium's mission and programs that are all centered around bringing the healing power of art to those who need it the most."

The Art of Elysium, entering its 23rd year of service with the mission to use art to improve lives, has partnered with Artsy to present a socially-distanced public art auction in celebration of the organization's 23rd Anniversary. As the nation responds to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Art of Elysium is working to raise much-needed dollars to sustain the art programs the organization serves: hospitalized youth, elders, the homeless community, veterans, special needs and inner-city schools.

The impact of The Art Of Elysium Art Programs in the community is evident. Prior to the pandemic the dedicated program directors worked with 2,145 artist volunteers to provide 1,268 programs to 32,660 underserved individuals in over 48 facilities throughout Los Angeles County. This auction is made possible by the generosity of our artists who have donated their work in support of our mission. Shepard Fairey has installed a public art installation on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium in support of our 23rd anniversary.

Some of the work that has been donated for the auction include works by Abdullah Quandeel, Allen Ginsberg, Anderson and Low, Andre Masson, Andy Moses, Anthony James, Beau Dunn, Cole Sternberg, Conrad Marca-Relli, Donna Isham, Ed Moses, Gregory Siff, Hunt Slonem, Jack Youngerman, James Georgopoulus, James Goldcrown, Mark Tobey, Oscar De Mejo, Romare Bearden, Russell Young + Henry Diltz, Shepard Fairey, and Will Barnet.

Due to safer at home restrictions and the high-risk underlying medical issues of the populations the organization has served for over two decades they have been unable to do in-person workshops and programs. The Art of Elysium's solution is to provide their services virtually through Zoom and offer free online art lessons. Many individuals in our city are incredibly vulnerable; revenue from this auction will help ensure their mission continues and thrives despite this pandemic.
Browse lots and place bids before the sale closes on Wednesday, September 16th at 2:00pm PDT/5:00pm EDT.
