New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today, Americana storyteller Northcote (aka Matthew Goud) releases "Freedom," the latest track from his forthcoming LP Let Me Roar (out October 23rd via Black Box Music). Listen below and here.

After the final day of tracking the album at the Noise Floor Recording Studio in British Columbia this past spring, Goud had a lingering feeling that the album was not yet complete. Feeling lost and overwhelmed with expectations to deliver. By surrendering to reality rather subconscious doubt, he created "Freedom."

"'Freedom' was the final song written for Let Me Roar," shares Goud. "I was convinced that I would return to the studio with a hit that would change the course of the life of the record, but what I ended up writing was a song more about gratitude about letting go of some of my expectations. I was feeling a new sense of Freedom to play and sing without much burden. For me the song represents letting go of the way I think things should turn out and embracing the feeling of whatever is real and alive."

"Freedom" is the fourth single to be released from Let Me Roar, which portrays Goud's journey of personal growth and self-acceptance through stories of loss, addiction, friendship, parental sacrifice and more.

Let Me Roar Track List:
