Ignacio Pena to Participate In Live 8 Event in Puerto Rico

CAROLINA, Puerto Rico (Borders Books Stores PR) - Puerto Rican rocker Ignacio Peña will participate in a Live 8-related event, to take place in Borders Books & Music Store in Carolina, Puerto Rico on Saturday, July 2 at 4:00 PM.
The event, which is sponsored by Live 8, One, Make Poverty History and Data, is being held to support the efforts of these organizations to drive the G8 Summit Leaders to take immediate action to eradicate African poverty.

Pena states: "It's an ideal opportunity for people from everywhere to learn and hopefully better understand what goes on in the world around them. Awareness is only an initial step, but it's a good start in the right direction."

This non-profit event entitled 8=1, is headlined by Peña and seven other local artists. To participate in this event, Peña is taking a short break from the first leg of his Summer Tour, which ended with a sold out show at Nuyorican Café in Old San Juan.
