Just last week, in a countdown to the release of Free Love,
Sylvan Esso hosted Opening Night, a celebration of the new album that featured live performances, DJ sets, dance, art and an unreleased song played by Jeff Tweedy. On release day they joined NPR
Music for a live conversation and listening party for the new album. Other recent highlights include a performance on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, the music video for "Frequency," directed by friend and collaborator Moses Sumney, and the video for "Ferris Wheel," the first track released from Free Love, which was then re-made as both an ASL video and entirely in Animal Crossing, prompting The Verge to say "Game of the summer, meet song of the summer."
