SAN DIEGO, CA. (Charlie Dominici PR/ www.dominici.com) - After some technical delays, the new CD from Charlie Dominici is finally in stores and online at various retailers. The CD is called 'O3 A Trilogy Part One' and features some interesting songs along with great acoustic guitar and vocals.

Although many may know Charlie from his days as the vocalist and front man with the original lineup of 'Dream Theater,' the world's premier progressive rock band, there are many who know him from 'Franke and the Knockouts' or just from seeing him play live in clubs from time to time. Charlie has finally released a solo CD that is the first in a trilogy. Although this is most certainly not a heavy metal or progressive rock CD, it is truly creative and very entertaining. The CD will be available online July 5th, 2005 at Web stores like Target.com, BarnesandNoble.com, Bestbuy.com, Circuitcity.com, SamGoody.com, Amazon.com, CdNow.com CdUniverse.com, Napster, Itunes, MusicMatch, MusicNet etc.

Numerous brick and mortar stores will carry the CD as well. 'If you are expecting this to be another Dream Theater CD or heavy metal sounding, then you will miss the point,' says Charlie. 'Although it is not a folk album, it is not heavy metal either. It is simply a concept album which is played on an acoustic guitar and sung solo with no other instruments outside of an occasional harmonica.'

Charlie offers this tip: 'If DT fans will listen to this CD with an open mind, they will be able to appreciate the music and the story much more than if they listen to it looking for something else that they are expecting to hear. If they don't, I think they will be missing out on something they might have found interesting and entertaining. 'As far as the rest of the music buying public, this CD has a more universal appeal as well. It is something that will appeal to mainstream fans also.

Whatever the outcome, it would seem that Charlie Dominici has left his harder rocking days behind him, at least for the time being, in favor of a more simplistic approach. If the 'Dream Theater' fans can accept that, then they are sure to be able to appreciate the songwriting and performing this artist can deliver.
For an artist who has been away from the music scene for almost fifteen years, Charlie Dominici has shown that he hasn't really wandered far at all. In fact he is right where he should be: spinning in CD players around the world.
