NEW YORK (Lava Records/ www.antigonerising.com) - Antigone Rising are taking it to the streets. The all-female New York area five-piece are pleased to announce summer tour dates in support of their critically acclaimed major label debut From the Ground Up, which is exclusively available at Starbucks locations nationwide. The band, who've toured relentlessly over the years in the infamous white Ford van dubbed "Vanna White" are excited to get in front of fans who've been patiently waiting for the band to return to the road.
"We've been a touring band from the very beginning," remarked guitarist Kristen Henderson. "Our fans are truly incredible and we can't wait to try out some of the new songs in front of a live audience. Of course we've got a few old-school Antigone songs up our sleeve too but you'll have to come to the show to find out what we're going to play."
Antigone Rising's highly-anticipated major label debut From the Ground Up was released on May 11, 2005 exclusively at Starbucks. The album kicked off Starbucks proprietary CD series entitled "Hear Music(tm) Debut."
