LONDON, UK (www.djsasha.com/ www.globalunderground.co.uk) - New Mix Album on Global Underground Enters the Billboard Top Electronic Albums Chart At No 4. FUNDACIONnyc - the new Global Underground mix album from Sasha-debuted at No 1 on both the U.S. and U.K. iTunes Electronic Album charts. Released June 21, the set also arrived on Billboard's Top Electronic Albums chart in the No 4 position (issue date July 9, 2005).
In addition to the track-listing which includes some greats from Playgroup, Goldfrapp, M83 and Funk Da Void, FUNDACIONnyc underlines the sound of Sasha's custom-made MAVEN controller in live action and intuitively matches some of the coolest electro-house sounds around with forgotten classics he has revived and reworked. Sometimes as many as five tracks come together at once to create completely new interpretations, but Sasha's innate ability to clarify and streamline sound means things never get overcrowded.
